(starts at the Lemp in
Late April)
Men
-
Barnabas
Baggs
- He is old, 100
years old. Slumped
over and walks with a cane.
He is cranky and mean.
He is a very rich man.
But is dressed in his “around the house” clothes.
Fancy pajamas, a smoking jacket, white socks, slip on
slippers Most
venues we will try to use a wheel chair for him.
(anybody got a wheel chair?)
Men
- The
Butler
wears a tuxedo, is very well put together, and has white
gloves. Very
white gloves. He
has an English accent. He
walks, talks and stands like he’s a butler, very
“dry”.
Men -
The detective -
dressed in a typical
detective’s look. Trench coat. Hat. Knit
shirt, tie, pants, brown shoes. But he is very
pompous. Talks in a lower voice than is natural for
him. Like “
Ted
” on the
Mary
Tyler
Moore
Show. He has a badge in his wallet so that he can flip
it open and shut super quickly.
Women -
The maid is wearing a small, short, low-cut maid
outfit. She has
an American accent. She
does not appear, or sound, very bright.
Perhaps she talks with a high falsetto voice?
She acts just like a young
Goldie
Hahn
on “Laugh In”. Maid
is Blonde and chews her gum vigorously.
Notes on the Rain slicker for
Billie
: It should be something that was given to her at the
mansion. It is
not all girlied up. It
should be big and frumpy.
Not something a woman would buy. Male’ish
. Making her
look as un-sexy as possible.
Then when she takes it off and reviews her maid
outfit, it should be a really big change.
I think the perfect slicker and hat is the one that the
Morton
Fisherman
wears in their logo.
